NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Two brothers were reportedly discovered “mummified” at their apartment in Brooklyn in an apparent hoarding situation.
The brothers, who were both 79, were found dead at their home on Louisa Street, near Dahil road, in Kensington on Saturday afternoon, sources told the New York Post.
The siblings were discovered in the “disheveled” apartment filled with debris around 3 p.m., according to the report.
Both of them were pronounced dead at the scene. Police told the Post that there didn’t appear to be foul play and that they may have died from natural causes.
A neighbor told the outlet that officers at the scene told him the bodies “were mummified.”
“The police said they were dead 12 days,” the neighbor said.
An investigation into the deaths is ongoing.
