NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A maniac pretending to have a gun threw coffee on a man who was walking down a Bronx street, police said Tuesday as they released an image of the suspect.
The 18-year-old victim was walking at Metropolitan Avenue and Benedict Avenue in the Parkchester section on the morning of May 20 when he was assaulted.
The suspect, who is unknown to the victim, walked up at 11:45 a.m. and threw a cup of coffee on him unprovoked, police said.
The attacker then simulated a firearm in his right pocket and threatened the victim before fleeing on foot, according to cops.
The victim declined further medical attention at the scene.
