NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for a pair of thieves accused of stealing about $70,000 worth of designer handbags from the Alexander McQueen store in Manhattan and smashing the front glass early Sunday, officials said.
According to police, at approximately 1 a.m., the suspects broke the front glass and two people entered the store located at 747 Madison Avenue.
The store was ransacked and about 30 purses worth approximately $70,000 were taken, authorities said.
Officials are currently searching for surveillance footage of the incident and an investigation is ongoing.
