NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – An unidentified man vandalized an NYPD precinct entrance in Midtown Manhattan, shattering its glass doors on Thursday, according to police.
The suspect threw rocks at the station house on 357 W 35th St. at around 7:40 a.m., police said.
According to a photo from the scene, the glass doors of the station house were damaged with five holes left and extensive crack patterns across them. Yellow police tape also covered the entrance.
The suspect was last seen wearing a coat, a brown hoodie, and blue jeans, and ran off towards West 35th Street.
Police officers who were on nearby patrol and from the station house searched for the suspect but were not able to find him.
An investigation is ongoing.
