Victims punched, placed in headlock in Queens robbery spree

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police on Friday released a photo of one of three men they are looking to identify in a string of violent robberies in Queens earlier this month.

Just after 1 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 6, a 29-year-old man was approached in the vicinity of 35th Avenue and 81st Street in Jackson Heights by three unknown suspects.


According to officials, the suspects repeatedly punched the victim in the head and forcibly stole his property then fled the location on foot.

The victim sustained minor injuries and refused medical attention at the scene.

The second incident happened hours later at about 4 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 6, when a 57-year-old man was approached in the vicinity of 92 Street and 37th Avenue by three suspects.

One of the suspects placed the victim in a headlock, while the other two individuals stole the victim's property. The suspects then fled the location on foot no injuries were reported.
