NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- New footage shows a man and a woman who cops said swindled a Staten Island jeweler employee in order to steal rings worth over $17,000.
On Oct. 18 just before 6 p.m., a man entered Jewelers on Fifth, located at 55 Richmond Terrace and approached a 53-year-old man who worked there.
The suspect asked the worker to see a three-piece his-and-hers wedding band/engagement ring set, worth over $17,000, cops said.
Once the set was out for the suspect to see, a woman stood near the store entrance and asked to be buzzed in so she could also see the rings, police said.
But once the employee buzzed her in, police said she opened the door and the male suspect left the store with the rings. The employee tried to chase the man down, but wasn't able to, according to cops.

The woman got in a Nissan Versa and fled, police said.
Police released footage of the transaction, showing the man and woman in question.
