VIDEO: NYPD officers rescue man who fell on tracks with train approaching

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A pair of NYPD officers rescued a man after he fell onto the tracks at a Manhattan subway station while having a seizure, body camera footage shows.

NYPD Officers Cerny and Lamour saw the man fall onto the tracks at the 14th Street/8th Avenue station in Chelsea around 2 p.m. on Sunday, according to police and the Daily News.

After one officer signaled for an approaching train to stop, the other officer jumped onto the tracks and lifted the man to safety, body camera footage shows.

The two officers stayed with the man until EMS arrived at the scene, the NYPD said.

"Their presence and quick action helped save this man's life," the department said.
