NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – An armed man robbed a Bronx gas station of cash, whiskey and dozens of packs of cigarettes, surveillance video released Monday shows.
Police released the video as they continue to search for the man seen grabbing wads of cash at the BP gas station at 824 Allerton Ave. in Allerton on the night of Dec. 31.
A 56-year-old man was working at the station's convenience store around 10:45 p.m. when the suspect walked in waving a firearm, police said.
He held up the worker at gunpoint and stole $300 cash, two bottles of Fireball whiskey and 30 packs of Newport cigarettes, according to cops.
The crook was last seen walking south on Boston Road.
No injuries were reported in the holdup.
