NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Newly released surveillance footage shows the moment a gunman killed Ice-T's friend on a Long Island City street earlier this week, police said.
The footage, released by the NYPD Saturday, shows the unidentified triggerman pace around a parking garage near 28-10 Jackson Avenue while talking on the phone on Thursday around 11 p.m.
The suspect then walks over and opens fire on a sedan parked across the street, hitting 50-year-old Joseph "Taheim" Bryan multiple times in the arm and torso, police said.
Bryan was transported Mount Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The suspect, wearing black sweatpants and a grey shirt, then fled in a dark SUV, according to police.
Bryan had worked with Ice-T on Equal Standard, the 2020 action film, the actor said in an emotional social media post following the shooting.
"MFs Killed my friend last night," Ice-T tweeted. "'m not in a good place behind this.Taheim was a GOOD dude making Positive moves. He wrote & we made the film EqualStandard together. He leaves a Wife&Daughter.Dirty MFs followed him home and Murdered him."
