NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Multiple subway lines were delayed Tuesday morning following a large water main break in Manhattan.
According to the MTA, the main rupture was located near the intersection of Broadway and West 96th Street on the Upper West Side.
Service on the 1, 2, and 3 train lines were delayed or interrupted while emergency teams responded to the scene.
The 2 trains were running on the 5 train line between 149th Street-Grand Concourse and Nevins Street while the 1 trains were running between 137th Street-City College and Van Cortdlandt Park-242nd Street.
Times Square-42nd Street was temporarily the last stop on northbound 2 trains.
