NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A thief stole a 95-year-old man's electric wheelchair and rode it through the streets of Manhattan this week, police said Friday.
The victim left his red Pride electric wheelchair outside as he visited a medical office on West End Avenue, near W. 73rd Street, on the Upper West Side around 8 a.m. Monday.
When he returned two hours later at 10 a.m. the wheelchair was gone.
Police said an investigation revealed that a thief had stolen the wheelchair just 10 minutes after the victim left it on the sidewalk.
Video shows the crook taking the wheelchair on a joyride at a crawling pace down West End Avenue around the time of the theft.
Police said the stolen wheelchair has a value of $2,570.
