NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – There's nothing bone-chilling about these Halloween weekend temps!

With just days to go until Halloween—and as the Winter Village at Bryant Park opens—temps will soar near 80 on Saturday.

The balmy weather has been around much of this week. The high hit 77 degrees in Central Park on Thursday, just one degree shy of the record of 78, set back in 1964.

Friday's high of 76 in Central Park came short of breaking the record of 82, set in 1963. But temps are still about 10 to 20 degrees above average for this week, according to AccuWeather.

Unseasonably warm temps will peak Saturday, when a stunning high of 80 is in the forecast for Central Park. The record to beat is 83, set more than 100 years ago in 1919.

It will otherwise be dry and mostly sunny, a welcome relief from other rainy Saturdays this month.

But the warm and dry weather won't last. Clouds, showers and much cooler air move in on Sunday, when it will be rainy with a high of 60.

Watch for lingering clouds and a shower Monday, when the high will be 61, before a chilly blast sends temps plummeting further for Halloween Tuesday.

Highs will only reach the low 50s on Tuesday, a preview of much chillier conditions ahead for New Yorkers going into November. Potential snow is even in the forecast next week for Upstate New York.
