NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- An unseasonably warm week may have convinced some that spring is here to stay, but forecasters predict rain and cooler temperatures are going to bring an end to the Tri-State Area’s hot streak.

Thunderstorms should bring one to two inches of rain to New York City on Wednesday night and Thursday morning followed by a dip in temperature this weekend.

Street flooding could complicate Thursday morning commutes for some, while others in Northern counties should be wary of ice.
A winter weather advisory is in effect from 8 p.m. this evening to 11 a.m. in Ulster, Deleware and Sullivan Counties in New York.
Forecasters anticipate temperatures to rise on Friday into the 60s before plummeting back into the 40s on Saturday and Sunday.
