NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — "Wicked," the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical, announced it will cancel more shows after initially called off Sunday's performances due to the detection of COVID-19 positive cases.

"Out of an abundance of caution, based on previous testing results and scheduled absences in the company, today’s performances of Wicked are canceled," the show announced on social media.
The production had originally planned to resume regularly scheduled performances. All tickets purchased due to the cancellations will be refunded.
Sunday's announcement comes after the musical "Chicago" was forced to cancel several shows late last month after several workers at show's Times Square's Ambassador Theater tested positive for COVID-19.
"Wicked" is expected to resume performances on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
