NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A woman was raped and choked by a man who followed her into a residential building in SoHo on Sunday, police said as they searched for a suspect.

The NYPD released video Monday of the man they're searching for in Sunday morning's sex attack.

Police believe he followed the 23-year-old woman into a residential building at Thompson Street and Prince Street around 4:10 a.m.

Inside the building, he grabbed her and placed her in a chokehold, according to police.

He then sexually assaulted her, police said.

The attacker fled southbound on Thompson Street before EMS arrived and transported the woman to a hospital for a medical evaluation.
