NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A woman died after being struck by a subway in Brooklyn on Tuesday morning, according to police.
Police responded to a 911 call at around 9:37 a.m. and found a 24-year-old woman at the Grand Army Plaza subway station unresponsive with severe head and body trauma. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim's name was not immediately released.
A preliminary investigation found that the woman accidentally fell, and no criminal activity is suspected, according to police.
The accident caused delays on the No. 2, 3, 4, and 5 lines in both directions but all lines were running again by noon, according to the MTA.
