NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A 25-year-old woman was stabbed to death in Brooklyn on Friday morning, and a man was taken into custody in connection with her killing, police said.
NYPD officers responding to a 911 call from a residence on 42nd Street, near Fifth Avenue, in Sunset Park around 4:30 a.m. found the victim unconscious and unresponsive.
She'd been stabbed in the chest, police said. EMS rushed her to Maimonides Medical Center, but she couldn't be saved. She hasn't yet been identified.
A 36-year-old man, who police described as a person of interest, was taken into custody at the scene.
His relationship to the victim wasn't immediately known.
No charges have been filed as the investigation continues.
