Woman, 28, slashed in stomach unprovoked on Midtown subway platform

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – The NYPD released images of a suspect Wednesday in the unprovoked slashing of a woman at a subway station in Midtown on Tuesday morning.

The 28-year-old victim was attacked at the 50th Street A/C/E station at Eighth Avenue around 3:10 a.m. Tuesday, police said.

She was waiting on the northbound C platform when her attacker slashed her across the torso with a cutting instrument, according to police.

The slasher fled the station before EMS arrived and transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue.

She was in stable condition and being treated for a slash wound to the torso.
