NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- Police are investigating after a woman was shot in the leg inside a building in Harlem Tuesday night, according to authorities.
Officials said the incident happened at approximately 9:15 p.m. when a 29-year-old woman was inside a building located at W. 135th Street near Lenox Avenue when she was struck in the leg.
The suspect, believed to also be a woman, was last seen fleeing from the scene wearing all black, the NYPD said.
It is currently unknown if the victim and the suspect knew each other.
An investigation is ongoing.
