NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A 31-year-old woman was fatally shot in the head during an apparent domestic dispute Tuesday night at her Bronx apartment, police said as they searched for her killer.

The victim, identified by police as Jessica Hoyle, was pronounced dead at the scene after NYPD officers responded to a 911 call around 11 p.m. at her apartment on Mickle Avenue, near U.S. Route 1, in Williamsbridge.

She had been shot in the head during what police believe was a domestic argument.

The nature of the dispute, and Hoyle's relation to the shooter, wasn’t immediately known.

Police said the shooter fled and remained at large Wednesday.
