Woman, 31, killed in hit-and-run on Manhattan’s FDR Drive

NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — A 31-year-old woman was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver early Saturday morning on FDR Drive in Manhattan, and police are investigating.

At 12:15 a.m. the woman was crossing FDR Drive from east to west near the parkway’s Exit 5 at East Houston Street when she was struck, police said.

A dark colored sedan was driving northbound in the left lane when it killed the woman, police said. The motorist did not stop and continued traveling north.

Police found the victim lying in the road with trauma to the body. EMS rushed her to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue where she was pronounced dead.

There have been no arrests and an investigation by the NYPD's Collision Investigation Squad is ongoing.
