NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are looking for a man accused of assaulting a man and woman on a Brooklyn train in an apparent random attack earlier this month.
On January 10, at approximately 8:05 a.m., a 55-year-old woman was on the 2 train at the Franklin Avenue subway station in Crown Heights when she was approached by the suspect who hit her multiple times in the head and body, officials said.
The suspect then struck a 21-year-old man multiple times about the body, authorities said.
The unidentified man fled, in an unknown direction, police said.
The victims sustained swelling and bruising to the head and about the body but refused medical attention.
Anyone with information in regard to the identity of the man is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
