NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A 62-year-old woman was punched in the throat in an apparently unprovoked attack aboard a subway train in Queens, police said Sunday as they released surveillance images of a suspect.
The woman was aboard a southbound E train in Jackson Heights on the evening of March 24 when she was approached by the man, police said.
The man punched her in the throat, causing an injury to her neck, according to police. The woman refused medical attention at the scene.
The suspect fled the train at the Jackson Heights–Roosevelt Avenue/74th Street station and boarded a northbound F-line train, police said.
