NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A 67-year-old woman died Friday morning after she was struck by a car and an MTA bus in Queens—and neither driver remained at the scene after the crash, police said.

The victim was in the roadway on Eliot Avenue, near 70th Street, in Maspeth around 12:45 a.m. when a sedan traveling eastbound down Eliot Avenue struck her and knocked her down, according to police.

An MTA bus that was also traveling eastbound on Eliot Avenue then struck the woman, police said.

The drivers of both the car and the MTA bus did not stop after hitting her, according to police, who didn't say if they believe the drivers were aware they had hit her.

Officers responding to a 911 call found the victim, Caroline Connors, lying on the roadway with severe trauma, police said.

Connors, of Queens, was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.

Police said no arrests have been made and that an investigation is ongoing.
