NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The Access-A-Ride driver who allegedly assaulted a 78-year-old woman in Brooklyn last week before striking a good Samaritan recording the incident has been arrested and charged.

Elsakran Mohamed is now facing charges of assault, attempted robbery, criminal mischief, grand larceny and petit larceny.

His arrest last Saturday came days after the 46-year-old was hired by the woman to take her to a physical therapy appointment, police told PIX 11.

Mohamed then allegedly went around the block, and when the woman asked to be dropped off in front of her therapy appointment, an altercation began.

Police said he then grabbed the woman's leg and pulled her from the car at the intersection at East 35th Street and Flatlands Avenue around 3:30 p.m.

Before a good Samaritan who was filming the scene intervened, the driver allegedly attacked her outside the car and snatched her phone, as seen in the video.

He then handed the phone to the good Samaritan and then got back in the car, striking the man before fleeing.

Cops said they took the good Samaritan, 35, and the woman to area hospitals in stable condition.
