NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — The NYPD is investigating after an 82-year-old woman was pushed to the ground by a man in Central Park early Wednesday.

According to police, it happened at about 12:17 a.m., near the Central Park tennis court on 95th Street and East Drive.

After pushing the woman to the ground, the suspect also shouted "you shouldn't be here" at her.

The woman sustained minor injuries to her nose, elbow and knee from the fall and was treated on the scene.

There have been no arrests made and an investigation remains ongoing.

This incident happened after two men were robbed in Central Park on Tuesday night—less than 24 hours after the last mugging in the park and amid a surge in robberies there this year.
