NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A woman is facing murder charges after allegedly fatally stabbing her friend inside their Bronx apartment on Sunday evening, authorities said.
At approximately 8:22 p.m., police responded to a 911 call reporting a stabbing inside 1441 Teller Ave. in Mount Eden.
Upon arrival, responding officers discovered a 31-year-old woman suffering from a stab wound to her chest and a slash wound to her neck, officials said.
The victim was rushed to NYC Health+Hospitals/Lincoln where she was pronounced dead. Her identity has not yet been released, pending family notification.
Police took Lexus Bullock, 27, into custody at the scene. She was later charged with murder, manslaughter, and criminal possession of a weapon.
The fatal stabbing occurred after an argument reportedly broke out between the two women. Police have not yet determined what triggered the dispute.
The investigation remains ongoing.
