NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are investigating a box truck crash in Manhattan where a 57-year-old woman was struck and killed Thursday morning.
At about 8 a.m., officials responded to a 911 call of a pedestrian struck at the intersection of East 124 Street and Lexington Avenue in Harlem, the NYPD said.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim unconscious and unresponsive with body trauma.
EMS transported her to Harlem Hospital, where she was subsequently pronounced dead, police said.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a 55-year-old man who was operating a box truck and was turning from East 124 Street onto Lexington Avenue when he collided with the pedestrian on the roadway.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.
The investigation by the NYPD Collision Investigation Squad is ongoing.
