NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police on Friday released surveillance footage of a man accused of following a woman in the East Village then robbing her earlier this month.
Just before 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 7, the suspect followed a 28-year-old woman into the vestibule of a building in the vicinity of East 3rd Street and Avenue D and forcibly took her purse.
According to officials, the suspect cornered the victim and ordered her to open the locked vestibule door but fled when a neighbor approached.
No injuries were reported.
