NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police on Wednesday released a photo of a man accused of threatening a woman and her kids before taking $40,000 in jewelry from her late last month in Brooklyn.
At approximately 1:10 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 24, the victim, a 40-year-old woman was walking home in the vicinity of Central Avenue and Putman Avenue in Bushwick when she was approached by the suspect.
According to officials, the suspect threatened to harm the victim and her children and demanded whatever jewelry she had inside of her home.
The victim fearfully handed over approximately $40,000 worth of jewelry to the man, cops said.
The suspect fled in an unknown gray SUV to parts unknown.
He was last seen wearing a gray baseball hat, blue medical mask, blue button-down short sleeve shirt, blue jeans, and black sneakers.
