NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A woman had to be hospitalized after she was beaten by two would-be robbers on a Manhattan street last week, police said.
The 39-year-old woman was on W. 48th Street, near 10th Avenue, in Hell's Kitchen around 9:15 p.m. last Thursday when the two suspects forced her to the sidewalk, according to police.
The duo punched and kicked the woman as she was on the ground then tried to remove her purse, police said.
The two suspects ended up fleeing empty-handed down W. 48th Street towards 10th Avenue, according to police.
The victim suffered lacerations, swelling and bruising to her face and was taken by EMS to St. Luke's Hospital, where she was listed in stable condition.
On Wednesday, the NYPD surveillance video of the suspects inside of a deli around the time of the attack.
