NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A 27-year-old woman died after she was stabbed by her ex-boyfriend at her East Harlem apartment on Wednesday night—a confrontation that also left the ex-boyfriend critically wounded when she stabbed him back, according to police and a source.
The source told 1010 WINS that the woman had an order of protection against her 26-year-old ex, and that she had filed a police report after his first attempt at entering her apartment on East 115th Street through a fire escape.
The ex-boyfriend returned to her apartment around 8:45 p.m. Wednesday and allegedly broke in and stabbed her, according to the source.

She was able to stab him during the attack, critically wounding him, the source said.
The woman suffered multiple stab wounds throughout her body. She was taken to Metropolitan Hospital and later pronounced dead, according to police. She has not yet been identified.
Her ex was taken to Harlem Hospital with stab wounds to his neck and chest, police said. Charges against him were pending.
