Woman robbed of $6K in electronics on street, 2 sought

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD is searching for two suspects wanted for stealing thousands of dollars in electronics from a woman in SoHo on Friday.

The 25-year-old victim was walking in front of 140 Thompson Street around 3:30 a.m. when two men approached her, one from behind and one in front, police said.

The men pulled out a knife and grabbed her purse, authorities said, though the victim was able to throw her purse on the ground and avoid injury.

The suspects made away with a laptop, tablet, cell phone, headphones, and other miscellaneous items totaling $5,940, police said.

One man is described as having a light complexion last seen wearing a black sweat suit, a dark colored baseball hat with a white Yankees logo on it and a light colored face mask. The other is described as having a light complexion last seen wearing a black ski mask, black jacket and red sweatpants.
