NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A woman was seriously injured after she was struck by a hit-and-run driver in the Bronx while walking her dogs on Tuesday night, police said.
The 55-year-old woman was walking two pit bulls while crossing Mosholu Parkway just after 9 p.m. when they were struck by a blue Audi that fled the scene, police told WABC 7.
The victim was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in serious but stable condition.
One of her dogs was killed in the incident, the other injured, according to the report.
