NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A Bronx house fire left a woman seriously injured and a dog dead on Friday evening, officials said.
The fire broke out at a home on Hunts Point Avenue, near Bryant Avenue, in Hunts Point around 6:20 p.m., according to the FDNY.
More than 100 FDNY members responded to the scene amid reports of a resident trapped inside.

Firefighters encountered "thick black smoke pushing out through the front door, with fire out the window of both floors in the rear of the house," the FDNY said.
A team of firefighters navigated through a "clutter condition and fire" on both floors of the home as the searched for the missing resident, who was found after a search of an upper bedroom, according to the FDNY.
The resident, said to be a woman, was taken to Lincoln Hospital in serious condition.
A dog was killed in the fire, but the FDNY managed to rescue a cat, officials told WABC.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
