NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A woman who was violently shoved to the ground by an NYPD officer during the George Floyd protests has filed a lawsuit against New York City, according to a report.

Cell phone video taken by a bystander during a protest on May 29 showed NYPD Officer Vincent D'Andraia knock Dounya Zayer's phone out of her hand and shove her to the ground.

On Monday, Zayer sued the city over the incident, the Daily News reported.

Zayer previously said she had a seizure and suffered a concussion as a result of the shove, which happened near Barclays Center.

"He wanted to hurt me," she told the outlet after D'Andraia shoved her. "Without provocation, he wanted to prove a point that he could hurt me, and he did."

The NYPD suspended D'Andraia without pay after the incident. He faces charges including third-degree assault, fourth-degree criminal mischief, second-degree harassment and third-degree menacing.

A spokesman for the city's Law Department on Monday said the city would review the case.
