NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are looking to identify a suspect accused of slapping and dragging a woman by her hair on a Bronx subway platform on Monday.

At approximately 4:25 p.m., a 46-year-old woman was aboard a northbound 5 train approaching the East 180th Street train station in Van Nest when she was engaged in a dispute by the suspect, officials said.

The suspect then proceeded to slap the victim in the face and dragged her to the ground by her hair before fleeing on foot out of the East 180th Street train station.

EMS transported the victim to Saint Barnabas Hospital in stable condition.

The NYPD on Tuesday released a photo of the suspect who was last seen carrying a black lunchbox.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
