NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A woman was slashed in an unprovoked attack at the 14th Street–Union Square subway station on Thursday night, police said.
The 58-year-old victim was walking down a staircase in the N/Q/R area of the station around 11 p.m. when someone walked up and slashed her with an unknown object.
The slasher then took off on foot, police said.
It's unclear where the woman was slashed, but police said she suffered non-life-threatening injuries and refused medical treatment.
An investigation into the attack is ongoing.
