NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – An 88-year-old woman fought off two robbers trying to steal her purse in Brooklyn this week, suffering a broken face and busted teeth in the process, police said Tuesday as they released images of the suspects.

The victim was walking in Sunset Park around 4 p.m. Sunday when the man and woman tried to rob her on 50th Street, between Fifth and Sixth avenues, according to police.

They grabbed her purse, but she held onto it and was thrown to the ground.

She suffered multiple facial fractures in the fall, as well as damage to her teeth, police said.

EMS transported her to Maimonides Medical Center, where she was listed in stable condition.

The suspects fled on Razor scooters and remained at large Tuesday, police said.
