NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Two men broke into a Queens woman’s home, tied her up and robbed her on Thursday afternoon, according to police.
The robbers entered through an open back door at a home on 34th Avenue near 201st Street in Auburndale and restrained the victim, who was in her late 60s or early 70s, an anonymous source told Pix 11.
The NYPD confirmed the break-in took place, but did not specify the victim’s age.
The men brandished a firearm and demanded cash, officials said.
The woman suffered wrist injuries from being tied up, but did not need serious medical attention.
She was home alone at the time of the break-in.
Once the attackers left, the woman was able to reach a nextdoor neighbor who called the police.
