NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police released surveillance footage Thursday of a woman wanted for beating a taxi driver in a knifepoint robbery in Queens last month.

It happened just before 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, 2025, in front of 23-10 41st Ave. in Long Island City.

According to officials, the woman entered a 68-year-old taxi driver's vehicle, displayed a knife and demanded his property. The suspect then punched and kicked the victim before stealing an undetermined amount of cash from the car.

The suspect fled on foot, traveling westbound on 41st Avenue to parts unknown. There were no injuries reported.

The suspect is described as having pink hair and several facial piercings. She was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, light-colored shorts, and white sneakers.
