NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A man sexually abused a woman working at an Upper East Side ice cream parlor before her coworkers scared him off, police said Tuesday.
The NYPD released surveillance video as they continued to search for a suspect.

On Monday, 9/20 at 12:30am suspect did enter a business on 2nd Ave between E88–E89 Street & sexual abused a 28-year-old female employee, grabbing her chest, buttocks & upper thigh.

The 28-year-old worker was inside UES, an ice cream parlor near Second Avenue and E. 88th Street, early Monday morning when the man entered, according to police.
The man backed the employee into a corner and tried to grab her, police said.
He briefly left before returning and backing the woman into an area behind the counter, where he grabbed her breast and buttocks, according to police.

The man then reached under the employee's dress and grabbed her upper thigh, police said.
The woman's coworkers came to her aid and the man fled on foot, according to police.
The woman was not physically injured, police said.
