NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are looking to identify a man accused of shoving a woman before trying to take her purse at a Queens subway station on Sunday.
At approximately 11:10 a.m., a 47-year-old woman was waiting on the southbound platform for the R-train at the Elmhurst Avenue subway station in Elmhurst, when he was approached by the suspect.
The suspect then shoved the victim forcefully causing her to fall to the ground and attempted to take her purse from her shoulder.
A bystander pushed the suspect away from the victim, causing him to flee the scene to parts unknown.
The victim was not injured during the incident, and no property was taken.
