NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A Long Island man was arrested Tuesday after stabbing another man during a dispute, Nassau County Police said.
The 59-year-old New Cassel man, Emilio Cruz-Yanes, got into an argument with the victim near a corner store at 846 Prospect Ave. in Westbury around 5:50 p.m. Tuesday, authorities said.
The dispute escalated when Cruz-Yanes stabbed the 50-year-old victim in the chest and then fled the scene, according to officials.
Emergency responders transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment.
Cruz-Yanes was later arrested after an investigation. He is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday.
