HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – Police arrested a man on Long Island who they said stole more than $10,000 in cigarettes from 7-Eleven locations in November and early December.

Andre Christmas, 55, was busted Sunday evening on charges of robbery, grand larceny and petit larceny in connection with the seven thefts.

He allegedly targeted five 7-Eleven stores in Franklin Square, Hempstead, Valley Stream and North Bellmore, making off with more than $10,900 in smokes.

The alleged spree started Nov. 19 with a $1,300 cigarette haul from a 7-Eleven in Franklin Square, police said.

The most recent theft was Saturday in Valley Stream, where more than $4,300 in cigs was stolen, according to cops.

Christmas, of Uniondale, was set to be arraigned Monday.
