OCEANSIDE, N.Y. (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A Long Island woman was reunited with her stolen cat after investigators tracked the catnapper’s vehicle, Nassau County police said Wednesday.

The cat, a male Turkish Angora breed named Toby, was stolen from a woman’s driveway on Brower Avenue in Oceanside on the morning of Feb. 9.

Officers and detectives worked to track the suspect’s vehicle, which led them to Vincent Fredricks, 20, who was arrested without incident, police said.

Toby the cat was found safe and safely reunited with his owner. A photo released by police shows the two together again.

Fredricks was charged with petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property, police said.
