
PARAMUS, N.J. (1010 WINS) – A magnitude 2.4 earthquake rattled parts of Bergen County, New Jersey, on Friday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The earthquake struck at around 1 p.m., with the epicenter being near Oakland, just over a half-mile east-southeast of Paramus with a depth of about 4.8 miles.
Residents in the vicinity reported feeling mild tremors, but there have been no immediate reports of damage or injuries. Given its magnitude, this earthquake is considered minor and is unlikely to cause significant structural damage, according to the USGS.
