NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 19-year-old man and three juveniles were arrested Tuesday evening after stealing a Long Island food delivery man’s vehicle, authorities said.

Alix Dure, of Elmont, had just left his probation appointment when he came across a Toyota Camry which was left unlocked with the keys inside around 5:30 p.m. at 122 Old Country Road in Mineola, police said.

The car belonged to a man who was making a food delivery. Dure allegedly got into the victim’s vehicle and drove off, according to officials.

Cops were able to locate the car a short time later at Hoffman Avenue and Parkway Drive in Elmont. As officers closed in, Dure and the three juveniles fled the car, police said.

All four of the suspects were arrested. Dure was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, petit larceny, and criminal possession of a controlled substance. His arraignment was scheduled for Wednesday.

The other three young people were all charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle and released to their guardians.

Dure was on probation for a July arrest for multiple crimes including robbery and assault.
