NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A man was arrested on Wednesday for impersonating a US Customs and Border Protection Officer after eating at a Long Island sushi restaurant dressed in uniform, Nassau County Police said.

Andy Kwok, 53, was eating at K City Hot Pot and Sushi at 11:20 a.m. in Levittown while dressed as a CBP Officer. An actual CBP Officer identified and reported him to the Nassau County Police Department, police said.

In addition to the uniform, Kwok, of Delmar, was in possession of a fraudulent identification card that included a photo and had what appeared to be a firearm holstered on his hip, according to officials.

NCPD Officers confirmed that Kwok was not a law enforcement officer for any agency and arrested him without further incident.

Kwok was charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument and will be arraigned in Hempstead on Thursday.

Anyone with information about the defendant attempting to pose as an ICE Agent or anyone who may have been defrauded by the defendant is asked to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS or contact Homeland Security Investigations at 1-866-DHS-2ICE.
