
NEWARK, N.J. (1010 WINS) — A man was fatally struck in Newark by a New Jersey Transit train Monday afternoon, officials said.
A spokesman for NJ Transit said the unidentified man was struck at 3:05 p.m., approximately two miles east of Union Station.
No passengers or crew onboard were injured.
Passengers on the Raritan Valley Line train that had originated at Penn Station New York and were set to arrive at High Bridge Station at 4:30 p.m. were provided bus service.
